Mobile technology is right at the heart of the revolutionary transformation reshaping health care.
Kevin McGinnis can’t wait to see the new ideas that emerge to push this trend forward when the entrepreneurs gather in Kansas City at the Sprint Accelerator for Mobile Health.
“We really are looking for a set of innovative companies to come in next spring,” said McGinnis, a Sprint vice president.
McGinnis talked about the accelerator, mobile health and the growing momentum of Kansas City’s technology and entrepreneurial community during an appearance on the “Tech Circuit With Krista Klaus” on AM 1660 The KMBZ Business Channel.

McGinnis urged leaders of early-stage companies to apply by Jan. 6. Sprint is teaming up with Techstars to provide mentors, networking and other assistance as the startups move their businesses forward.
“The mobile health accelerator will be focused on any company that has a health care aspect to it, whether it is human health or animal health, that has a wireless component,” McGinnis said. “The range of possibilities in the mobile health care space actually is pretty wide.”
